Last Day
The end of a fantastic 2 weeks in cooler weather, but always sunny. Sorry to go home after enjoying the atmosphere of the village again.
We were joined after my first week by my beautiful daughter Shelley seen here with Jennifer. Keep away from the Jewellers – you have been warned.
Thanks to Stanley and Patricia at B3 for a great evening and delicious home cooked dinner and my last night at Saray Restaurant in town. A very pleasant evening in good company.
In return we managed to prepare an evening of food in the Turkish style and received praise from Ali and
Ozzy who seemed genuine in their appreciation of my efforts. Followed by copious amounts of Raki, Jim Beam and Efes, the evening was great fun and my tiredeness the next day was nothing to do with Jim Beam.
The site is improving daily and a lot of effort has gone into maintaining the landscape this week and some tidying up at the main entrance is looking good.
Have fun – see you next year.

Turkey celebrates rising market
10 September 2008
After a summer of discontent for most of the globe, Turkey is set to celebrate an excellent year with a nomination at the World Travel Awards.
The strength of the euro has discouraged tourists from holidaying in euro zone, meaning local countries that have not yet adopted the currency have seen an increasing number of visitors. Add to this the extremely effective work of the Turkish Tourist Board and it’s easy to see why they have been shortlisted as Europe’s leading tourist board at the World travel Awards 2008.
The increased visitor numbers have caught the eye of foreign investors, who are keen to capitalise on the possibility of good rental yields. British buyers are finding their pound goes further by buying homes in Turkey and it’s reported that foreign investors have spent over $10 million since Turkey opened the real estate market to foreigners in 2003.
Turkey benefits from an excellent health service with staff speaking good English in tourist areas and in some

Pool Bar
The pool bar is now open and thriving!
Serdar Guner is the man in charge and needs all the support you can give. I spent a week at the Village in early July and Serdar worked really hard to get the bar going. A limited menu is on offer at the moment and as more people use the facility then this will be expanded.
Great service, can’t wait to return.
